Fewer moves, later mornings, and nothing in the middle of the week. The single most common thing we take out of a honeymoon is the itinerary.
How we build them
Two bases, one excursion, five empty days
Almost every honeymoon that disappoints is over-scheduled. So we invert it: one or two places, four or more nights in each, one arranged thing that you will be glad you did, and a long stretch with nothing in it at all.
Everything that can be private is private — the transfers, the boat, the table at the far end of the terrace. Where something cannot be, we schedule around it rather than pretend about it.
