Terms
These are placeholder terms supplied with a website template. They describe how a travel house like Marivela Journeys S.r.l. might set out its booking conditions. They are not legal advice and must be replaced with terms written for your own business, in your own jurisdiction, before you sell anything.
This website
Everything on this site — journeys, prices, itineraries, stays, advisors and articles — is demonstration content for a website template. The brand, the people and the trips are fictional.
The planner and the enquiry flow are front-end demonstrations. They transmit nothing, store nothing on a server and create no booking of any kind.
Prices and quotations
Prices shown as 'from' figures are indicative, per person, based on two travellers sharing, and exclude international flights unless stated.
A price becomes firm only when it is quoted in writing for specific dates and confirmed in a booking.
Currency movements, third-party price changes and taxes can affect a quotation until it is confirmed.
Planning fees
A planning fee may be charged before detailed work begins and credited against the journey if you travel.
Where a fee is charged, what it covers and whether it is refundable would be stated in writing before it is taken.
Booking and payment
A booking is confirmed when a deposit is received and we have issued a confirmation.
Balances would typically be due sixty days before departure.
Some suppliers take non-refundable deposits at the point of booking. Where that applies, we would tell you before you commit.
Changes and cancellation
If you cancel, the charges would depend on how close to departure you are and on what the suppliers have already committed.
If we have to change something significant, we would offer an alternative of comparable standard or a refund of the affected element.
Events outside anybody's control — weather, closures, strikes, natural events — are handled by finding the best available alternative rather than by refund, which is why insurance is required.
Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is a condition of travelling with us, including medical cover, repatriation and cancellation.
For journeys involving altitude above four thousand metres, off-piste skiing or remote travel, the policy must cover those activities specifically, and we would ask to see it.
Financial protection
A real travel business selling packages must hold appropriate financial protection and licences for its market. Replace this section with the specific arrangements, licence numbers and bonding that apply to you.
