Kodi Beach House
A thatched house above an empty beach on the west coast, staffed, taken whole.
Three bedrooms under a single high thatch roof, open on the seaward side, above a beach that will usually have nobody on it. Staffed with a cook, a housekeeper and a driver.
It is forty minutes on rough road from anywhere, which is the reason it is quiet and the reason we send a driver with it.
What we like
- Being the only people on a kilometre of sand, reliably
- The outdoor bathrooms, which in this climate are better than indoor ones
- A cook who does grilled fish, sambal and nothing complicated
Worth knowing. The sea below the house has a strong current and is not always swimmable. There is a safe cove eight minutes away and the driver knows it.
