Walking with trackers

On foot at dawn with Samburu trackers and an armed guide, on private land where it is permitted.

You leave before six, walk into the wind and spend three or four hours reading the ground. Elephant, giraffe and buffalo are all possible on foot; so are the things you would never see from a vehicle.

A walking safari is a slower, quieter, better version of a game drive. It is also the thing most first-time visitors did not know they could do.
