The reef at first light
A boat to the outer reef before the wind gets up, with nobody else on the water.
The wind in Sumba arrives around ten and stays. So you go at half past five, in a small boat, to a section of reef that is twenty minutes out and almost never visited.
Snorkelling rather than diving, on coral that is in far better condition than most of what you will see in Bali.
