Ikat weaving in Kodi

Sumbanese ikat is tied and dyed before it is woven, which is why the pattern is soft at its edges and why a good cloth takes six months to a year.
You spend a morning with a weaving group in Kodi: the tying, the indigo vats, the morinda that gives the red, and the loom itself. Cloth can be bought directly, which is the point.
